Georgia Bulldogs safety Tykee Smith is one of the better safety prospects in the 2024 NFL draft. Smith helped his draft stock with an impressive day at the NFL scouting combine.
Smith, who was named as the MVP of the American Team at the Senior Bowl, recorded a 36-inch vertical jump and a 10-foot broad jump at the NFL combine.
Last season, Tykee Smith primarily played slot cornerback for Georgia. Smith, who transferred to Georgia from West Virginia several seasons ago, was one of Georgia’s most disruptive defenders. The Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, native finished the 2023 college football season with four interceptions, two sacks, and 70 tackles.
The 5-foot-10, 205-pound defensive back ran an impressive 4.46 second time in the 40-yard dash:

Smith is projected to be a middle-round pick in the 2024 NFL draft. The draft will be held in Detroit, Michigan, from April 25-27.
