George Ezra revealed he was inspired by The View as he sat backstage at TRNSMT festival with frontman Kyle Falconer.
The Budapest songwriter and guitarist told Kyle that the Dundee band’s song from 2007’s Hats Off To The Buskers taught him how to play diminished chords.
He said: “You inspired me to write that song Don’t Matter Now.”
Kyle added: “I met George at T in The Park and Glastonbury years ago so it was good to see him. ”
George’s set at the festival was watched by Niall Horan who wore a baseball cap and dark glasses side of stage.
Niall is also rumoured to have caught the last two songs of Scots band Dead Pony’s set.
Kyle meantime was thrilled to play TRNSMT a can’t wait to play on the bands forthcoming tour.
He said: “I think that was the first time I’ve played TRNSMT in seven years. The last time I played was T in the Park. I feel like I’m back.”
