George Best's son Calum on speaking openly about hair loss after 'sixth hair transplant'

Calum Best, son of NI football legend George Best, has once again spoken openly about his experience with hair loss and undergoing his "last" transplant surgery.

The TV personality said he has been receiving treatment from a top Manchester surgeon since he was in his early 20s.

It is reported that the final transplant carried out by Dr Asim Shahmalak was the 42-year-old's sixth hair transplant.

Praised by Calum as 'the best in the world', Dr Shahmalak has been helping Calum with his hair loss journey since he was around 24 and took to social media to thank him for helping him regain his confidence.

On Instagram, Calum said: "I'm really lucky that the work that [Dr] Asim and Crown Clinic did has lasted me very long.

"Over the years, your natural loss will start to go so they replaced all the hair in the front and then naturally, the back of mine started to go as well.

“I think now, it has become more common for men to more openly speak about going to do these things if it brings them a happier and healthier lifestyle so I am happy to be back."

This is the fourth transplant he has had with Dr Shahmalak over the past decade and Calum said he has had "thousands of men" contacting him about where he was treated since first opening up about his transplants.
