Geordie Shore stars 'rejected' by MTV as filming starts on show's new series

Geordie Shore stars Scotty T and Marty McKenna are rumoured to have been 'rejected' by MTV bosses and will play no part in the series, which is set to be the long-running show's last.

Scotty, real name Scott Timlin, first appeared on Geordie Shore in 2013 and make an immediate impact in the famous party house, due to his wild antics and flirtations with some of his female co-stars. Marty joined the show at the start of 2016, alongside fellow newcomer Chantelle Connelly, having already enjoyed some MTV fame as star of dating series Ex on the Beach.

However, neither he or Scott look set to feature in the new series, despite being at the massive Geordie Shore reunion party in Newcastle last spring, when many cast members past and present attended the shindig at the Boiler Shop in the city centre.

A TV insider told The Sun that Marty's lack of involvement was down to 'bad behaviour' when he filmed E4 show Celebs Go Dating, with the source saying: "Marty wasn't asked back as he didn't behave well while filming Celebs Go Dating last year, which is made by the same production company that makes Geordie Shore

"Bosses weren't impressed by his antics, so decided not to invite him back after the reunion."

Scott's absence may come as shock to fans, but it's being reported that he was snubbed as he's still 'too much of a party boy' and producers want to try and move away from 'that vibe' for the new series, which featis set to involve a group holiday abroad.

Scott's apparent Geordie Shore knock back comes as he stars in the new series of E4's Celeb Cooking School, with filming thrown into chaos earlier this month when he started vomiting on set.

News of his and Marty's rejection from MTV bosses arrives after reports that fellow cast member Abbie Holborn had also not been asked back for filming.

Production started on the new series when the cast gathered for Holly Hagan's gender reveal, with Sophie Kasaei also revealing she'd filmed with her family for the show.
