Reality TV star Aaron Chalmers will fight MMA veteran Kiefer Crosbie at Kingpyn Boxing's upcoming event in Dublin.
Chalmers, 36, was last in action against boxing legend Floyd Mayweather in February as the pair met in an exhibition fight at The O2 arena in London. Chalmers had a significant height and weight advantage over Mayweather, who toyed with the Geordie for eight rounds in a fight that was snubbed by boxing fans.
The ex-Geordie Shore star will now make his Kingpyn debut against Crosbie in a wildcard fight on July 15. The exhibition fight will mark Crosbie's boxing debut but the Irishman is no stranger to combat sports, boasting a MMA record of 10-3. Crosbie fought former UFC welterweight Alex Oliveira in April, stopping the Brazilian in the opening round of the fight.
Chalmers challenged Crosbie to a five-figure bet as he said of the fight: "If this one doesn’t get the blood pumping then nothing will! Straight into the Lion's den in Dublin to fight Kiefer Crosbie. Four weeks and counting ain't no celebrities or YouTubers around here so if you're that confident let’s bet, £10,000 each winner takes [all].
Crosbie agreed to the bet by replying: "Extra 10,000 sounds tasty. Have that all in 50s each one ironed individually. I’ll collect it off you when you get checked out of A&E." Chalmers then fired back: "I will bring the £10,000 cash so I can splash it around celebrating after."

Crosbie has a big experience advantage over Chalmers having made his amateur debut whilst the Geordie was still appearing on reality TV. The Irishman struggled to put together a string of wins in Bellator after losing to Georgie Leary and Georgi Karakhanyan, but has since won consecutive fights for unknown European promotions.
The MMA veteran also said of Chalmers: "There’s not a celebrity or YouTuber on this planet who can beat me in any form of fighting. Aaron from Jersey [Geordie] Shore just signed his life away, silly boy. See you four weeks time princess, I look forward to welcoming you to my backyard in Dublin."
