Geordie Shore's James Tindale devastated by his sudden death of his dad as cast members rally

James Tindale says his 'world has been flipped upside down' after the Geordie Shore star's dad died suddenly at the weekend, with his co-stars rushing to offer their support and condolences.

James has been a much loved star on the MTV show for over a decade now, having shot to fame as an original Geordie Shore cast member when the show burst onto screens back in 2011. Fans have been delighted to see him back in action for the reunion series, which is currently airing on MTV every Tuesday night but, ahead of the latest episode airing, a shocked James took to Instagram to break the news that his dad Alan had passed away unexpectedly at the age of 74.

Alan has appeared on several episodes of Geordie Shore, i ncluding a special show last year when James reflected on his 10 years as a cast member. Sharing pictures of him and Alan together, James, wrote: "At the weekend my world was literally flipped upside down.

"Sunday I had to say goodbye to my dad unexpectedly and I honestly feel like it’s all just a bad dream and I’m ready to wake up.

" Me and my dad were so close he was the person I always went to when I needed the best advice and he always made me and everyone in the room laugh with his jokes and sense of humour."

James continued: " I’m absolutely devastated and I feel like I’ve been robbed of time but I’m also so grateful for the years having you not only as my dad but a best friend.

"I wouldn’t be who I am today without you Dad and I promise to make you even prouder than I know you already were .I love you so much dad."

James ended the devastating post by opening up on the close bond he and his dad shared, writing: "I spoke to my dad every single day on the phone and I’d give everything to have him back, even just for one more phone call.

"You literally never know what’s around the corner so make sure you cherish every single moment with your loved ones."

James' Geordie Shore co-stars rushed to support him, with fellow original Sophie Kaseai replying to the post to comment: "He made two amazing boys and he will live within you forever james. Forever he will be by you’re side. I love you so much my brother." Holly Hagan responded: " I’m so sorry James sending love to you and your family."

Vicky Pattison, who starred on Geordie Shore alongside James for a number of years before leaving the show at the end of 2014, commented: "'m so sorry James. I can't imagine what you must be going through. Sending you and your family so much love."
