Geordie Shore's Aaron Chalmers angrily hits back at trolls over 'baby kiss' criticism

Aaron Chalmers has hit back at critics who took aim at him for kissing his baby son, branding them 'sad, sad people' for sending him abuse on Instagram after he posted a picture of the touching moment.

Aaron, who shot to fame on Geordie Shore in 2013, before going onto forge a career as a MMA fighter and appearing in spin-off series Geordie OGs, became a dad for the third time last year when other half Talia Otway gave birth to son Oakley. The family faced a tough and concerning first few weeks with their new arrival, with Aaron telling fans that Oakley would be 'in and out of surgery' for the first 18-24 months of his life.

Sharing a photo of Oakley on Insta, Aaron wrote: "You come into this world earlier this week and from the minute you arrived you caused me and your mummy nothing but worry!! It’s going to be a long hard road for you and all of us as a family the next couple of years but your our little solider and we are going to be with you every step of the way."

Aaron shared a picture on his social media of him planting a caring kiss on Oakley's forehead, but, when appearing as a guest on Steven Sulley's podcast, told the host he was both taken aback and angry after it gathered negative comments.

Hitting back at his critics, Aaron said: "There must be some sad people, sad sad people, that must have such sad lives to want to go on social media and abuse

"You must be sad. Like, you must have a sad life. You must have nothing else in your life than to try and bring others down. Because to me, why?"

Becoming increasingly annoyed at those who'd criticised him, Aaron added: "I had a picture of my newborn, my newborn baby, and I was kissing him. He’s f***ing my son, I made him, he’s mine. People said '‘You shouldn’t be kissing the baby on the lips’ and I thought ‘ah, f**k off man.'"
