While Itto is going to be the main attraction in the Genshin Impact banner today, players have also been waiting a while for dog boy Gorou to arrive. He’s a Geo bow user, the first of his kind, and he has a creative kit that you can do a lot of things with.
He’s pretty solid to pair with Itto, so if you’re planning on going for the 5 star, hopefully you land a few copies of 4 star Gorou in the process. I already wrote up my best Itto build, so here’s what you need to know about assembling a good version of Gorou.
Best Gorou Bows
Favonious Warbow (4 star) - CRIT Hits have a 60% chance to generate a small amount of Elemental Particles, which will regenerate 6 Energy for the character. Can only occure once every 12s.
Sacrificial Bow (4 star) - After damaging an opponent with an Elemental Skill, the skill has a 40% chance to end its own CD. Can only occur once every 30s.
Yeah alright so this is a bit of a weird situation. I’m not sure I’ve ever done a build guide and not recommended at least one 5 star weapon, but none of the bows suit Gorou’s purposes. Using either Favonious or Sacrificial allow Gorou to use his elemental skills and burst more, which his where his power lies rather than in trying to do actual bow damage. And I know you have a bunch of these lying around, so gearing him up should be easy.
Best Gorou Artifacts
Husk of Opulent Dreams (Slumbering Court Domain, Seirai Island) – 2 piece - DEF +30%, 4 piece - The on-field character’s Geo DMG grants +6% DEF and +6% Geo DMG, up to one stack every 0.3s, for a maximum of 4 stacks. When off-field, one stack is gained per 3s. When new stacks are not gained, the buff loses one stack every 6s.
Archaic Petra (Domain of Guyun): 2 piece - Gain a 15% Geo DMG Bonus. 4 piece - Upon obtaining an Elemental Shard Created through a Crystallize Reaction, all party members gain a 35% DMG Bonus for that particular element for 10s. Only one form of Elemental DMG Bonus can be gained in this manner at any one time/
Noblesse Oblige (Clear and Pool Mountain Cavern): 2 piece - Elemental Burst DMG +20%. 4 piece - Using an Elemental Burst increases all party members' ATK by 20% for 12s. This effect cannot stack.
