A new update is launching this January 31 for Genshin Impact. Version 4.4 is titled "Vibrant Harriers Aloft in Spring Breeze" and offers a lot of new content. When the update goes live, it's going to mark the start of the annual Lantern Rite in Liyue.
The Lantern Festival this year welcomes a prosperous new year with abundant rewards and features a new kite theme. There's going to be new events, new events, and even new redeemable items. Making things even more fun is the limited-time daily login event which allow players to claim as much as 10 Intertwined Fates. There's also an extra 3 Intertwined Fates and 2 Fragile Resin delivered to players through the in-game mailbox. New outfits for Ganyu and Shenhe are also available at a limited-time discount at the in-game store.
New Characters
There are two new playable characters joining the game as part of the update. There's Xianyun, who is the human form of an adeptus that players may have encountered in previous storylines. The five-star character Xianyun, also known as Cloud Retainer, is an Anemo catalyst wielder. Xianyun can take a flying leap and then dash forward twice in mid-air. Xianyun can also help nearby teammates by boosting the height of their jumps and Plunging Attacks along with providing healing.
The second playable character is Gaming, who is a young Wushou dancer. This new four-star Pyro character is a claymore user who incorporates his beloved Wushou arts into his combat style.
In the two phases of Version 4.4 Event Wishes, the first one features Xianyun, Gaming, and Nahida's rerun. The second one meanwhile features Xiao and Yae Miko's rerun.
The new update also opens up a new region known as the Chenyu Vale.
Genshin Impact is a free-to-play open-world adventure RPG which brings players to the visually stunning world that is Teyvat. They get to take on the role of the mysterious "Traveler," who is on a journey to discover the fate of their lost sibling. Beginning with Version 4.0, the fifth of the seven nations, Fontaine, was opened for exploration. Each nation in particular offers unique cultures and vast landscapes. Along the adventure players also get to meet a wide range of characters while trying to master the art of element-based combat. and unveil the secrets of Teyvat. The game is available for the PC, PlayStation 4, and PlayStation 5. It's also on mobile platforms through Android and iOS.
