A new update is coming soon in Genshin Impact and introduces players to a new summer map. Get ready for the captivating world of Simulanka. This new land features unique lands that's populated by origami creatures, clockwork figures, and other fantastical beings.
As the Wandered, players get to explore the enchanting landscapes and at the same time provide much-needed assistance to resolve an impending crisis. They'll also need to uncover the truth along with the surprises of this magical world.
Enjoy the Mini-Games
As they travel across Simulanka, they'll get to enjoy different mini-games and earn bonuses. There's "Boreal Flurry" for example where they get to shoot balloons while at the same time enjoy an aerial experience that overlooks the land. Meanwhile in "Flying hatter's Trick" they'll get to experience a claw-machine-like game where they have to obtain as many moving toy figures as they can. Another mini-game to look forward to is "Metropole Trials." In this one, players have to assemble two teams of characters and then take on and complete combat challenges.
Those able to complete the min-games get to obtain what's known as Starsail Coins. These can be used to draw for various figurines having diverse gestures. Each of the figurines can be displayed on the "Good Shelves" which are scattered across Simulanka. Players can also get their hands on these "Good Shelves" as Furnishings as a reward for finishing all the main stories of Simulanka.
Echo Effect
Simulanka arrives to the game courtesy of update Version 4.8 which is titled "Summertide Scales and Tales." Aside from a new map, it also introduces new effects to character movements known as "Echo." What this does is leave a unique trailing effect while the character is sprinting.
When the update goes live, players can get Echoes for Diluc, Qiqi, Kirara, Jean and Ningguang. To do that they'll need to finish the "Envisaged Echoes" challenges over in the Imaginarium Theater lobby. To access the challenge, they'll need two special keys. Two keys are given to players once they enter "Envisaged Echoes." Additional keys can be obtained by those who finish Act 6 of the Imaginarium Theater each season.
