HoYoverse announced the Genshin Impact 3.8 banners, and after literally years of waiting, fans are finally getting their Eula rerun in the open-world game. Genshin Impact 3.8 goes live on July 5, 2023, and features the now-standard double banners, where each round of banners has two 5-star characters and the same 4-star characters each. As always, these banners will remain active for three weeks before ending and the second round taking over.
HoYoverse hasn’t announced which 4-star characters will run on either banner yet, though if it’s anything like the past few summer adventure updates, we’ll likely see characters who have some kind of tie to the story, such as Collei.
Genshin Impact 3.8 banners - First half
The first set of Genshin Impact 3.8 banners goes live on July 5, 2023, and runs until July 25, 2023. The 5-star characters you can roll for are Klee and Eula. Klee regularly appears on banners, especially during the annual summer event, though the last Eula rerun was at the end of 2021.
HoYoverse is also introducing a new skin for Klee, though Eula isn’t getting one.
The 4-star characters remain a mystery for now, though with Kaeya also getting a skin, he may turn up.
Genshin Impact 3.8 banners - Second half
The second round of banners goes live on July 26, 2023, and runs for three weeks until Aug. 16, 2023, when the first set of Fontaine banners will take over and, presumably, feature brand-new characters. The second 3.8 banners see Kokomi and Wanderer (formerly Scaramouche) return, though neither of them has a new skin this time.

HoYoverse didn’t show off any weapons for the upcoming Epitome Invocation banners, though since they usually correspond with the current 5-star characters, we’re pretty confident in assuming they’ll include:
- Song of Broken Pines
- Lost Prayer to the Sacred Wind
- Tulaytullah’s Remembrance
- Everlasting Moonglow
Genshin Impact 3.8 free character
If you take part in the Secret Summer Paradise event, you’ll get to invite Layla to your party for free. If you already have Layla, then you’ll unlock one of her constellations instead. Layla is a 4-star Cryo character who uses swords and specializes in freezing enemies and generating strong shields. Check out our Layla build for some tips on how to use her.
