A generous LFC fan pledged a huge amount of money to a Liverpool food bank in an anonymous donation.
The fan, calling themselves a "London Red", donated £10,000 to local service Fans Supporting Foodbanks. The service, set up by local MP Ian Byrne, was formed by fans of both Liverpool and Everton to help support those in the community who have fallen on hard times.
The community initiative allows donors to pledge as little as £3.50- enough for a weekly pantry shop for one household. Fans Supporting Foodbanks claim that the generous donation was left following a meeting with politicians and stakeholders.

The donation, left on the service website anonymously, was accompanied by the message: "For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat YNWA from a London Red."
Many have applauded the generosity on social media. One person said: "Wealth and generosity is beautiful. Well done that person, and everyone who donates. All is in perspective. Every penny makes a difference."
While another added: "Wow. What a gesture. Amazing."
Part of the service's site, explaining the work they do reads: "The demand on us is greater than ever. The rising cost of living, coupled with the pandemic and close season, have increased demand but negatively impacted on donations. We want to ensure the long-term sustainability of our mobile pantries."
