New Delhi: The voting, under the fifth of the seven phases, for 49 Lok Sabha seats in 6 State and 2 Union Territory (UT) and 1 State Assembly seats began this morning at a rather slow pace, reports Dynamite News correspondent.
The 49 Lok Sabha seats are spread over in 6 States and 02 Union Territory including Bihar (5), Jharkhand (3), Maharashtra (13), Odisha (5), Uttar Pradesh (14), West Bengal (7) and Union Territories of Jammu & Kashmir (1) and Ladakh (1).
The polling is also taking place for one State Assembly of Odisha.
This General Election 2024 is slated to take place in 7 phases (4 phases already done) and is spread over 40 days with the last phase on June 1.

Voting Pattern:
During this General Elections 2024, India will vote in 3 ways
1. Electronic Voting Machines (EVMs): There are this time over 55 lakh EVMs. Most of the voters will vote through EVMs.
2. Postal Ballot: Over 19 lakh service personnel and those who are on poll duty will vote through Postal Ballot.
3. From Home: This is introduced for the first time in Lok Sabha polls for those who are 85 years and above.
The counting of votes for all the 7 phases will take place on June 4.
