Millions of voters across London went to the polls on July 4 to elect the new Government. The Standard looked at key battleground seats in the capital, and published an interactive map of the results. Here we turn the spotlight on:

HACKNEY NORTH AND STOKE NEWINGTON

WINNER: DIANE ABBOTT

Top five candidates (in alphabetical order):

Diane Abbott - Labour (24,355 votes)

Deborah Cairns - Reform UK (1,283 votes)

Antoinette Fernandez - Green Party (9,275 votes)

Rebecca Jones - Liberal Democrats (1,562 votes)

David Benzion Landau - Conservatives (3,457 votes)

Wards: Cazenove, Clissold, Hackney Downs, King’s Park, Lea Bridge, Shacklewell, Springfield, Stamford Hill West, Stoke Newington.

Boundary changes impact: Hackney North and Stoke Newington is losing three wards and gaining one, but the overall balance of vote share is little changed.
