Gemma Owen is left in a state of shock as her ex boyfriend enters the Love Island with viewers getting a glimpse of his bombshell entrance at the end of Friday's show.
Michael Owen's daughter Gemma has been at the centre of the action during the first week of Love Island' s new series, with her initially being paired with Liam Llewellyn thanks to the public vote, before having her head turned by late arrival Davide Sanclimenti and pursuing things with him.
However, things turned on their head for the 19-year-old dressage rider when Luca Bish confessed his feelings for her on Thursday's show, with her very nearly letting slip her dad is Michael Owen, as she spoke about what her family took an interest in. There was further drama for Gemma on Friday, when she and Davide had a very heated discussion, with Gemma making a confession about Luca.

And then, Gemma was hit with guilt as Liam quit Love Island, just five days into the new series, telling him she did not see his announcement coming. Friday's episode ended with a tense first recoupling of Love Island 2022, when Luca picked Gemma and Davide chose Ekin-Su.
Those decisions left both Paige and Afia vulnerable, but they were left relieved as they were told neither of them would be leaving. However, the biggest bit of drama was saved right for the end credits when narrator Iain Stirling teased a new boy was going into the villa and Gemma could be heard shouting: "Oh my god! That's my ex boyfriend!"
Gemma's ex is Jacques O'Neill, 23, a rugby league player for Castleford Tigers.
While kept in the dark about his identity, viewers were quick to make predictions about Gemma's ex, with one tweeting: "That feeling when you know the ex is gonna name drop Michael Owen before Gemma does," and another reacting: "Michael Owen watching Gemma’s ex waking into the villa to cause carnage."
