Gemma Owen responds to rumours that she has rekindled her romance with Luca Bish

Gemma Owen has responded to rumours that she is dating her ex, Luca Bish.

The former Love Island star, 19, responded to a TikTok that suggested she and the fishmonger had reunited.

The TikTok account posted a video with text overlay that read: “Gemma and Luca are back together! I now truly before [sic] if it was meant to be it will come back!”, captioning the clip: “They are so cute #fyp #foryoupage #lucaandgemma.”

However, Gemma was quick to shut down the rumour, commenting: “Sorry... this is not true!”

One user screenshotted Gemma’s response and shared it to Instagram, writing: “not Gem turning into Ekin replying to rumours... she didn’t even do that for Bugzy until she was interviewed... that’s so obvious i'm sorry she shouldn’t of done that, that’s not something a gem would do, unless she didn’t wanna speak about it and lie.

“love the “sorry” as well”.

Gemma and Luca, 23, met during last year’s series of Love Island, breaking up three months after leaving the villa.

She spoke out about the break-up, saying: "These last few weeks, as going through any break up, it’s not nice. It’s not a nice time.”

"Having to deal with the press and other people’s opinions, and people thinking that they know what’s going on when they don’t, that’s been challenging."

However, the star added that she was doing ok.

She also recently shut down rumours that she was dating rapper Bugzy Malone, who she was said to have enjoyed a few dates with.

At the time, Gemma said: "I have never met or spoken to him and we don't follow each other on social media. I am not dating and I am definitely single."

Luca recently opened up about the split, admitting he had become a much better person since the breakup.

Admitting he was “blindsided” by the split, he said he learned a lot from re-watching the show and said he found parts of it difficult to watch after he was criticised for being too possessive with Gemma.

Speaking to The Mirror, he said: "I see it as a lesson. I've learned a lot about myself when watching it back, some I like, some I don't like. You go from there and you become a better person.

"Before another relationship I want to make sure I'm happy with my life and that I don't need someone else to make me happy."
