Gemma Owen is a 'bronze goddess' in Dubai as she looks 'unreal' in new collection with PrettyLittleThing

She won over fans with her elegant sense of style in the Love Island villa last summer, and Gemma Owen looks sensational as she models her new collection for fashion brand PrettyLittleThing. The dressage rider from Cheshire was a 'bronze goddess' as she soaked up the sun in Dubai.

The 19-year-old daughter of former England, Liverpool and Manchester United footballer Michael Owen, dazzled on the sand showcasing glam holiday looks in rustic and neutral tones with added pops of bright colour. The PrettyLittleThing brand ambassador, who was a finalist on the ITV2 dating show in Mallorca, says her second collection with the Manchester-based global fashion brand is her favourite yet.

Taking inspiration from dreamy summer nights spent in tropical locations, Gemma worked with PLT’s head of design Chris Parnell to bring her latest 24-piece collection to life in Dubai. Gemma selected earthy textures paired with soft satins and statement embellishments. The collection features daring mesh, statement tailoring and co-ord sets.

She told the Manchester Evening News about her creating the 'ultimate holiday wardrobe': "My latest collection with PLT has definitely been my favourite one yet. I absolutely love all of the pieces from it and being able to shoot in Dubai was a dream come true."

"The inspiration is very summer vibes, summer holidays, summer nights out and there are really versatile pieces you can wear in the daytime to a beach club or through the day to the night."

She explained: "We've gone for earthy tones, satin finishes, pops of colour too. I'm really proud of the collection. With design team we've come up with something for everyone and I hope everyone loves it as much as I do."

Asked how it feels knowing people look to her for wardrobe inspiration she said: "It's obviously really flattering that people look at me in that way, My style is very classic and sophisticated and very tonal and I don't follow too many trends. I know what I like and stick to that. " She added: "I think it proves you can achieve the classy and expensive look on a budget. Just with a few accessories and you can elevate a look."

Gemma says that her own sense of personal style and fashion has grown in working with PrettyLittleThing, and she's still 'learning every day.'

I'm just taking every day as it comes, just really enjoying developing the relationship and working closely with such fab brands and just seeing what comes next, but I'm really content and happy with everything."

As Gemma shared snaps from her recent trip to Dubai on her Instagram, gemmaamyfav commented: "Gemma you are bronze goddess." Another follower gasped: "unreallllll." And Patriciabuglass told her: "Dubai suits you."

Gemma signed a huge deal with PrettyLittleThing just weeks after the show ended after impressing CEO Umar Kamani, following in the footsteps of 2019 islander Molly-Mae Hague who went on to become the brand's creative director.
