She's one of reality TV's biggest stars and now The GC aka Gemma Collins is turning her hand to musical theatre as she comes to Cardiff in the touring production of Chicago. The former TOWIE, Dancing on Ice and Celebrity Big Brother star will star as Mama Morton in the hit musical opposite Coronation Street and West End regulars.
Chicago will be at Cardiff's New Theatre from Monday, June 20 until June 25 and also stars Faye Brooks - Kate Connor from the ITV soap - as Roxie Hart and West End star Djalenga Scott (Annie, Chicago, West Side Story) as Velma Kelly. Gemma Collins will play the indomitable Morton who is in charge of the women's prison in the musical.

Although she's not known for her singing, Gemma first blew audiences away with her singing voice back in 2019 when she appeared on the Christmas special of BBC talent show All Together Now, singing Big Spender by Shirley Bassey. The Diva Forever star also performs on her Instagram page and in 2020 she landed a record deal with Universal.
The musical, created by John Kander, Fred Ebb and legendary choreographer Bob Fosse, follows Roxie Hart, a housewife and nightclub dancer who murders her on-the-side lover after he threatens to walk out on her. The action followed Roxie as she tries to wriggle out of a conviction.
