Gemma Collins taken to hospital after a 'burst'

Gemma Collins was taken to hospital after an incident while on holiday.

The former TOWIE star set off on her year of spiritual journeys which saw her visit the birthplace of Jesus for her first stop. While in Israel, Gemma found herself in hospital after a nasty accident left her struggling to hear.

Taking to Instagram to discuss the situation, she revealed her eardrum suddenly burst which needed medical attention. She thanked her doctor in a sweet post that said: "Thank you so much to this wonderful doctor in Israel who helped me today when my eardrum burst!!!

"It could only happen to me, this doctor was wonderful." Gemma snapped a photo of herself cosying up to the doctor as she placed her hand on his stomach while they smiled for the camera.

She added: "Everyone in Haifa has been so kind and welcoming I am now off to Tel Aviv." Gemma broke down in tears on her recent trip to Bethlehem and said she hopes everyone can experience the same journey at least once in their lifetime.

The 41-year-old started her religious pilgrimage across Israel on New Year's Day which saw her touch the silver 14-pointed star which marks the traditional site of the birth of Jesus in a grotto beneath Bethlehem's Church of the Nativity.
