Gemma Collins was forced to seek medical attention after making an emotional trip to Bethlehem. The former The Only Way Is Essex star has been sharing updates from her trip to Israel alongside fiancé Rami Hawash and his son Tristan.
Ahead of the trio heading to Tel Aviv during their trip around the Holy Land, Gemma has revealed that she had to pay a doctor a visit and said: "It could only happen to me!"
It comes after the reality star revealed earlier this week that she was looking forward to her 'spiritual journeys' in the new year after being 'so unbelievably lucky' to have touched the silver 14-pointed star in a grotto underneath Bethlehem's Church of the Nativity.
Gemma shared videos and images of the moment to her Instagram which saw her left in tears. She wrote alongside an Instagram post: "BETHLEHEM I can’t believe I’ve been so unbelievably lucky to have been where baby Jesus was born and touch the spot. I am totally blown away and looking forward to my spiritual journeys in 2023."
She went on to add: "The feeling of this was like nothing I’ve ever felt before I can’t even describe what I felt in that moment I was totally blown away." But as her time in Israel continued, Gemma encountered a medical setback.
Sharing a snap of her with her doctor to her Instagram Story on Tuesday (January 3), Gemma penned: "Thank you so much to this wonderful doctor in Israel who helped me today when my eardrum burst!!!" She added: "It could only happen to me this doctor was wonderful."
She then shared a second photo of the pair and went on to add: "Everyone in Haifa has been so kind and welcoming I am now off to Tel Aviv." Gemma headed off to Israel, where her fiancé Rami's family live, just after Christmas and has stayed beyond the new year. Posting a picture of herself and her man as the kicked off their trip, Gemma typed: "HOLY LAND with my LOVE @rami_hawash_."
Speaking in a video of her earlier experience in Bethlehem, Gemma said: "I am in the church in Bethlehem and I have got tears rolling down my face. This is the most breathtaking, unreal experience of my life. The feeling here is - you cannot describe it. It is just overwhelming, I hope everyone gets to experience this once in their life. Your hairs stand on their end, it's just, I feel breathless, it is just so beautiful."
Gemma also shared a snap of herself and her stepson Tristan, five, as they shared the 'beautiful' moment visiting the landmarks in Bethlehem. "Such a beautiful moment shared with my stepson in Bethlehem," she typed alongside the image of the pair.
