Gemma Atkinson may be missing her fiance when he was away but she very quick to give him daggers after he made the long trip home amid his tour with fellow Strictly Come Dancing star Karen Hauer.
The Spanish dancer is currently travelling up and down the country as he and Karen bring their Firedance tour to venues like Manchester's Bridgewater Hall where they performed on Saturday night (March 11). On Friday night Gorka and Karen performed in Southend-on-Sea, Essex before bringing the show 200 miles up north to Gorka's honary home city where he lives with Hits Radio host Gemma and their three-year-old daughter, Mia.
Gemma, 38, from Bury, then took to her Instagram on Saturday morning as she kept their daughter Mia, three, entertained with the jigsaw puzzle she has been tackling in recent days while her 'Papa' was sleeping. She explained in the Instagram Stories video clip: "Gorka didn't get in until 3 this morning and he's got a show tonight in Manchester."
She added: "He's going to be knackered," as she zoomed the camera in on a mug bearing the word 'knackered' to sum-up how he'll be feeling. "It's still going to be a cracking show," she added. And Gemma, who is pregnant with her and Gorka's second child, and Mia almost missed the show.
As she travelled into the city, Gemma wrote on Instagram: "The one Fire Dance show we can watch in Manchester and it's looking like we'll miss it. We're at a standstill on the motorway due to an accident. Looks really bad. Those poor people involved."
The former Hollyoaks and Emmerdale actress later updated with a picture taken of her view of the stage: " We made it! Just in time. Incredible show!!!" Gorka and Karen's fellow pro dancers Aljaž Škorjanec, who danced with Gemma on Strictly 2017, and Janette Manrara were also there to see the dance show and dad-to-be Aljaž, whose wife Janette is pregnant with their first child, captured an adorable scene from backstage as Gorka and Mia giving each other a kiss before grabbing a group selfie.
But on Sunday (March 12), as Gorka spent a brief bit of time at home before heading off to his and Karen's next show, it appears the 32-year-old was about to test his pregnant wife-to-be's patience as he attempted to mess with her puzzle. Last week, Gemma told her followers that she was using some of her rare free time to get stuck into a one-thousand-piece puzzle in a bid to challenge her mental strength instead of hitting the gym and challenging her body like she would usually do.
But she later went on to share a string of hilarious videos in which she documented the 'stages' of doing a jigsaw from the initial joy to the despair when it doesn't quite come together as fast as you hoped it would. And it even got the pregnant star hot under the collar. "Well, that was stressful. It wasn't as therapeutic as I thought," she admitted in a later video.
Admitting a blunder, she said: "I had to take my top off, my bra. I had to get my saggy maggies out. The postman was looking at me, like I am bloody not right. I said to him put it down, take the picture and go, you've got to go, I have to focus. Some of the edges are missing - it's not that I couldn't find them! It's that some of them are missing..."
However, it still appears she was eager to complete the puzzle as Gorka filmed her at the family's kitchen table as she looked deep in concentration. "The real reason she wanted me home," he could be heard saying from behind the camera. "I'm doing everything I can to finish this. It's driving me insane," Gemma confessed.
But as Gorka placed his hand on some of her already completed puzzle pieces, Gemma swung around her head and fumed: "Don't be an absolute t**t," to which Gorka appeared to cheekily laugh before the video ended.
Gemma has since returned to Instagram to give an update on her second pregnancy as she shared how her brain function is 'completely different' to how it was when she was pregnant with Mia. "My brain function this time around is just... I can't tell you. And I'm not doing anything different. It's bizarre. I've lost count of the amount of cups I've dropped and smashed, tripping over my own feet. I tell you!"
She then asked if anyone else has noticed a difference between 'growing a female baby and growing a male baby'. But the mum-of-two-to-be just ended up laughing at one of the responses from her followers.
"I've just read a DM and this woman's put, 'There was no difference with mine, Gemma. I was fat and I felt f***ed with both." As she laughed, Gemma went on to admit: "That's me this time around. I'm fat and I'm well and truly f***ed."
