Hollyoaks favourite Gemma Atkinson has teased a possible return for her character Lisa Hunter, 15 years after she left the village.
The character featured in some big storylines, including her self-harm storyline which is currently re-airing on E4 this week.
Gemma left the soap in 2005, after debuting four years earlier in 2001 as part of the much-loved Hunter family.
She was last on screen in the role in 2006 in a Hollyoaks spin off, Hollyoaks: In the City, and she also appeared in another spin-off a year earlier just after her village exit.
Now, with the soap revisiting one of it's biggest plots on the show, actress Gemma has teased whether she would make a comeback.
Speaking exclusively to Mirror online , Gemma confessed she would definitely head back to the village for a short stint or two.
She also talked about still being recognised for the role years on.
Gemma told us: "I would always return to Hollyoaks.
"It’s because of that show I’m where I am today and have been able to do so much stuff since, it was my platform, my learning curve into the acting world and I’m so grateful to them.
"I couldn't do it long term as I love my job hosting the drive time show for Hits Radio.
"We broadcast nationally across the UK but from Manchester so I get to be at home which I love, but I’m sure Lisa could pop back for a few weeks to cause some havoc in the village"
Speaking about her former role, she went on: "I still get so many people mentioning Hollyoaks!
"It’s crazy, the older generation mention Strictly or Emmerdale to me but people my age always remind me that their Sunday mornings were all about Hollyoaks and they loved it.
"I've had a few 'weren't you Lisa in Hollyoaks!' comments. It’s flattering in a way they still remember after 13 years."
Hollyoaks airs Mondays to Fridays at 7pm on E4.
