Gemma Atkinson has shared the poignant reason behind the location of her first family holiday with her daughter and fiance Gorka Marquez. The Hits Radio host has spent the last week enjoying a sunny getaway after her Strictly Come Dancing star beau finished his latest tour.
The loved-up couple, who got engaged on Valentine's Day last year, whisked their two-year-old daughter off to Tenerife for her first trip abroad due to two years of restrictions stopping many traveling out the country.
Over the weekend Gemma sent her fiance wild as she sent temperature soaring by posing in a cut-out bikini on their holiday. The Spanish professional dancer shared one of the photos, of Gemma striking a pose in her green swimwear, with a stream of love-heart eyes emojis.

But as their holiday was beginning to come to an end, the former Emmerdale and Hollyoaks stars reflected on their trip and shared a photo of herself, again in her gorgeous green bikini, alongside her 'mini me' little girl. And the sweet mother and daughter snap was taken in the exact spot Gemma posed a few years ago while pregnant with Mia.
The 37-year-old, from Bury, was grinning for the camera in a big pair of sunglasses and posed with a peace sign and Mia, who turns three in July, copied her mum's moves.
"For Mias first holiday we came back to the exact place we visited while she was still in my belly," Gemma captioned the post to her millions of followers. "Tenerife will always be special for us. I was lucky enough to holiday here every year as a child.
"It was the first holiday me & Gorks had together, the last place we came before I gave birth and now Mia gets to experience it just like I did growing up. More memories made on a wonderful island."
Fellow former soap stars Brooke Vincent and Katie McGlynn were quick to flood the post with multiple love-heart eye emojis while former Big Brother winner Kate Lawler said: "She’s a mini you," and reality star Ferne McCann commented: "Gorgeous girls."

Gemma also shared with her followers the one thing she didn't do while she was away. After sharing a video of Mia and herself enjoying time at a trampoline park as grey clouds filtered over their previously sunny view, the mum-of-one addressed her followers questions about where it was located.
"The trampolines are at the Siam mall... lots for kids there," she said. "We didn't go to any of the water parks. Never do as they still have whale, dolphin and seal shows. If and hopefully when they are just a water park I'll take Mia, but whilst they still have the shows we won't be visiting.
