Gemma Atkinson has shared how she's been forced to ditch her engagement ring as she joked about a common pregnancy symptom. The Hits Radio host shared all on Instagram after enjoying a trip out with her Strictly Come Dancing star fiancé Gorka Marquez and their daughter, Mia.
The loved-up couple were joined by three-year-old Mia as they took her to the theatre. The trio, who are set to become a family of four this summer as Gemma is currently pregnant with her and Gorka's second child, headed out to The Lowry in Salford on Saturday (March 25) to watch the Olivier Award-nominated production Hey Duggee The Live Theatre Show.
Ahead of seeing the show, Gemma, 38, posed with Gorka and Mia. The former Hollyoaks and Emmerdale actress cut a causal figure in a white sweatshirt, branded with 'ILYSM' from her In The Style range, which she paired with black trousers and white trainers. Gorka, 32, matched his partner's attire, except he sported a brown sweatshirt and lighter coloured trousers.
The loved-up couple, who met on Strictly in 2017 when Gemma was a contestant and made it to the final with Aljaž Skorjanec, beamed alongside their excited little girl who looked adorable in a peachy-toned dress as she posed between her parents with a show programme.
Taking to her Instagram Story at the end of the show, Gemma filmed a snippet of Duggee and co on stage as she fondly recalled: "Took me back to my maternity leave with Mia," before adding: "Fabulous show! Hey Duggee @the_lowry."
Later, once home, Gemma shared another post to her Instagram Story, this time of her bare hand. "Had to take my ring off as it's got too tight," the 38-year-old confessed, appearing to refer to her sparkling engagement ring which was presented to her when Gorka popped the question on Valentine's Day 2021.
"Eve my fingers are pregnant with this little fells," Gemma then joked. Earlier this week, the Bury-born star shared her latest fitness clip with her social media followers. She could seen working up a sweat with a variety of weight exercises and stretching moves. Opening up alongside the video, set to Whitney Houston track Step by Step, Gemma wrote: "Taking it slow, day by day."
She went on to share: "I'm carrying a lot bigger this time. I feel like I’m pregnant from the neck down [crying laughing emoji] so I’m finding things harder at the minute. Things like putting shoes on, picking up dog poo, sitting comfy. I find (for me) doing small workouts and movements daily is helping with the aches I get being sedentary."
And on Sunday, Gemma got out in the fresh air with her beloved dogs and had a sweary response to the route she is no stranger to taking. Talking directly to her camera with shades covering her eyes and her hair slicked back out of her face, the former Hollyoaks and Emmerdale star said: "I've come for a walk in the woods... There's so many sounds. It's so nice. But also, can be scary."
She then added on a different part of her walk: "I used to sprint up this hill," as she puffed and panted. "I've got a sweat on just walking it. I'll tell you what thought, I'll be running up it again by Christmas," she added with a face of uncertainty. "She says... maybe with a pram. Either way I'll run up it again. I'll run up this b*****d!"
