Geena Davis has said she feels 'really grateful' that she didn't have her first child until she was in her forties.
The 66-year-old had daughter Alizeh Keshvar Davis Jarrahy in 2002, and twin sons Kaiis Steven and Kian William in 2004.
She shares them with her former partner Reza Jarrahy, who she split from in 2017.
The movie legend appeared on Wednesday's Loose Women to discuss her glittering career and shared some insight her to motherhood.
"I'm really grateful that I had children in my 40s because I knew I'd be more involved," she told the panellists.
"I didn't have a lot of self-esteem but I was really determined that my children would have self-esteem."
Before she had children with Reza, Geena dated restaurateur Richard Emmolo in 1997 and married him in 1981.
They went their separate ways in 1984 and she went on to date future Thelma and Louise co-star Christopher McDonald, to who she was briefly engaged.
In 1985, she met her second husband, Jeff Goldblum, on the set of Transylvania 6-5000.
The stars tied the knot two years later and stayed together until 1990.
In 1993, she married filmmaker Renny Harlin, who directed her in Cutthroat Island and The Long Kiss Goodnight.
She filed for divorce in 1997. A year later, she met the father of her children, Reza Jarrahy.
Earlier this week, Geena appeared on Good Morning Britain and discussed her Thelma and Louise co-star Susan Sarandon.
Susan showed her 'what it’s like to live authentically and be in the moment' - and the ageless actress had viewers captivated as she wore an elegant black and red dress on the ITV programme.

They talked about meeting Susan: "It totally changed my life, because somehow in my sheltered life, I had never spent time with a woman who says what she thinks without qualifiers in front of it.
"I was used to living as somebody who says 'I don’t know if you agree with this or if this is a good idea'. I was busy dying of politeness.
"As soon as I met Susan, 'oh my God' this was a whole different world. And it wasn't that anyone reacted differently to her. Everyone loved her and everything.
"I was like, 'Wow, you can actually be like that'. She showed me what it’s like to live authentically and be in the moment."
