Geekflare’s This Week in Business Tech: Workday’s Spring 2025 Release, Operant AI Arrives in India, and More

As we approach the end of March, last week was filled with updates and new launches. US-based Operant AI arrived in India, Google acquired Wiz, Workday announced its Spring 2025 Release, Cloudflare expanded its Zero Trust Network Access (ZTNA) solution, and more.

What’s New in Workday’s Spring 2025 Release? 

Workday announced its spring 2025 updates, which were filled with AI updates. The company introduced over 350 new features and updates across its platform. However, the main focus was on talent management, user experience, and finance, aiming to simplify workflows, improve efficiency, and integrate AI-driven automation into HR and financial processes.

US-Based Operant AI Arrives in India 

A Silicon Valley-based startup called Operant AI started operations in India. This cybersecurity firm aims to strengthen the security of AI-driven applications and cloud environments. The company is famous for its 3D runtime defense platform, which offers real-time protection against emerging threats such as prompt injection, rogue agents, data poisoning, and data exfiltration.

Cloudflare is Future-Proofing the Internet Against Quantum Threats 

Cloudflare has enhanced its Zero Trust Network Access (ZTNA) solution by incorporating end-to-end support for post-quantum cryptography. The company aims to protect communication between web browsers and corporate web applications with quantum-safe encryption.

The update is already live, and Cloudflare plans to expand this protection to all IP protocols by mid-2025. The goal is to streamline the shift to post-quantum security for corporate applications and devices. 

Google is Spending $32 Billion to Acquire Wiz 

Alphabet Inc., Google’s parent company, announced its plans to acquire cybersecurity startup Wiz for $32 billion in an all-cash transaction. Though this is Google’s second attempt to acquire Wiz, it has turned out to be the company’s most expensive acquisition. Their previous effort in 2024 failed due to a tough regulatory climate.

Want to Build AI Agents Without Coding? Accenture Says Yes 

Accenture unveiled its AI agent builder, which allows businesses to build and customize AI agents without writing a single line of code. It is built on NVIDIA’s AI technology and aims to simplify the process of building and deploying AI agents and accelerate business AI adoption.

The company has already launched 50 AI agents and will release another 50 by the end of this year. These are not random AI agents, as the company has released industry-specific agents. They cover different industries, such as telecommunications, financial services, insurance, manufacturing, healthcare, retail, and more.

What Zoom Unveiled at Enterprise Connect 2025? 

Zoom has rolled out its AI Companion to more business services, including customer support, sales, and marketing. At Enterprise Connect 2025, the company introduced new updates aimed at boosting automation and self-service with AI-powered virtual agents and better workforce management tools. 

Adobe and Microsoft Teamed Up—But What Does It Mean for Marketers? 

Adobe has announced a private preview of its Marketing Agent and expanded its AI capabilities within Microsoft 365 Copilot with Adobe Express Agent. This is part of a new partnership with Microsoft to integrate generative AI into workflows, which is now extending to AI agents. As a result, Adobe’s marketing agent will be available in popular Microsoft apps like Teams, PowerPoint, and Word through Microsoft 365 Copilot. 

AccountsIQ acquires ExpenseIn 

AccountsIQ, a popular name in cloud-based accounting software, announced its acquisition of ExpenseIn, an expense management software. This acquisition will allow businesses to take control of their expense and invoice management processes. 

ExpenseIn was founded in 2015 and will continue trading with its existing name. The company has over a million monthly expenses and a customer base spanning over 40 countries. ExpenseIn’sExpenseIn’s customer list includes names like Ascot, Corpay, and Bath Rugby. 

KPMG and SAP Collaborate on AI-Driven Consulting 

KPMG, a leading consulting firm, is partnering with SAP to take advantage of the SAP Joule for Consultants solution, which uses generative AI to improve consulting services. This collaboration allows KPMG consultants to access expert-level knowledge and best practices, streamline processes, and deliver faster and more impactful results for clients. By incorporating SAP Joule for Consultants into their methodology, KPMG aims to transform its SAP consulting approach and accelerate project execution.

Lattice Unveils AI Agent for HR 

Since its the year of AI agents, Lattice has joined the bandwagon and unveiled its AI agent for HR. It is designed to help HR teams work better and make employees more productive. The AI agent answers employees’ questions without having to hunt and peck through intranets, documents, and knowledge bases.
