Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Secretary-General Dr. Nayef Al-Hajraf strongly condemned on Sunday the Iran-backed Houthi militias for launching ballistic missile and armed drone attacks against Saudi Arabia.
In a statement, he accused the Houthis in Yemen of deliberately targeting civilian locations in Saudi Arabia's Jazan, Khamis Mushait, Taif and Dhahran al-Janub in flagrant violation of international laws and norms.
He hailed the constant alertness of the Saudi air defense, expressing the solidarity of the GCC member states with the Kingdom against everything that targets its security and stability.
He called on the international community to take an immediate and firm stance to halt these hostile acts that target civilian locations and vital facilities in the Kingdom and that undermine its security.
