As reported, a Gaza ceasefire and hostage release deal between Israel and Hamas is scheduled to take effect at 8:30 a.m. local time (1:30 a.m. ET) as announced by the Qatari government on Saturday.
The Qatari foreign ministry spokesperson, Majed Al Ansari, advised individuals in Gaza to exercise caution and await instructions from official sources.
Qatar, along with the United States and Egypt, has played a significant role in mediating the agreement.
While the exact timing of the hostage release on Sunday remains uncertain, US officials have indicated that three female Israeli civilian hostages held in Gaza are anticipated to be freed on the initial day of the ceasefire.
