Gary Beadle's wife, Emma McVey, has been praised after revealing her post-surgery scars.
The former Geordie Shore favourite's partner told her fans to 'never be ashamed of a scar', while revealing the physical mark across her chest acquired through recent life-saving surgery.
The 30-year-old mum of two underwent an operation in January to fix three holes in her heart, as well as repair her tricuspid valve - which is the valve seated between the two right chambers of the heart..

The Mirror reports that Emma, who was diagnosed with three large holes in her heart in June 2021, was rushed in for another operation later the same month after her lung collapsed following the original open heart surgery. Taking to Instagram on Tuesday, Emma shared a collection of snaps with her 905,000 followers in which the mum-of-two's scar was visible as she posed in a sculpted jumpsuit.
Captioning the photos taken from her home, Emma penned: "Never be ashamed of a scars, your scars tell a story. They’re a reminder of when life tried to break you but failed. @nakedapparel_ sculpted jumpsuit."
And husband Gaz was one of the first to comment on the post, gushing: "Stunning [love heart emoji]."
Many of Emma's followers thanked her for not hiding her scar with makeup or strategically placed clothing. One told the star: "You are truly amazing and such an inspiration to me! I am fully aware that I will need heart surgery in the future. I’ve already had complex vascular surgery 5 years ago!
"You inspire me to have the strength to not be scared of whatever surgery I face in the future! Thank you! Continue to wear your scar with pride! You look gorgeous!"
Another added: "Love this photo. My son has a scar like yours and it’s so nice to see that you are proud of it," while a third, wrote: "My 14 year old daughter is waiting for open heart surgery. She will have a scar from the top of her chest to just above her tummy button.
"Thank you for showing this and normalising scars. Il make sure I show her. You look beautiful."
Last month, Emma shared her gratitude towards the healthcare workers who helped her through the open heart surgery at the beginning of this year. Sharing an image of herself sat in a hospital bed after the surgery, the star wrote: "I came into this month with a healthy heart, I’ll never be able to thank my surgeon, doctors, nurses and everyone else involved.
"I had 2 small holes, 1 large hole and my triscupid valve repaired. They’ve given me a new life to enjoy with my babies and really don’t get the credit they deserve," [sic] followed by a heart emoji.
Emma, who shares son Chester and daughter Primrose with Gaz, then revealed how she has progressed since the operation as she said: "I’ve come so far since this photo 2 weeks ago, right after this was taken I was crying and throwing up all over myself unable to move, my brother and mum just swapping buckets under my chin.
"Day 2 I cried from the pain trying to take a deep breath in and cough, day 3 asking how I’ll ever be able to get myself out of bed. Here I am now, I left the house yesterday and watched the kids play outside on their bikes and I’ve never been happier.
"Don’t get me wrong, I’m yo-yoing like you wouldn’t believe, my emotions are so up and down, it’s gonna be a slow recovery but I am so excited to see where I am in just a few months time."
