Set your alarms and get out the membership cards as Gateshead Costco has confirmed that it is expecting bottles of the incredibly popular Prime drink from today (Friday, January 13).
Hype for the drinks, created by YouTubers KSI and Logan Paul, has continued to grow as stock issues have meant that the drink often sells out as soon as it hit shelves. Originally exclusive to Asda and Emirates Stadium for £1.99, the drink has been spotted in some local businesses for upwards of £10 a bottle.
Scores of teenagers have been spotted queuing outside of the supermarket in the early hours in an attempt to grab a bottle. There were mad scenes when stock was made available at Aldi stores with lines stretching through car parks.

Now it is Costco’s turn as it confirms it will be stocking the drink in its warehouses. The Chronicle reached out the Gateshead branch and were told that stock was expected on January 13.
Eager customers are advised to contact the Gateshead branch before travelling to make sure that cases are available as stock is extremely limited. The Chronicle was able to confirm with the Gateshead branch that the drink, in the ice pop flavour, will be available in cases of 12 for £18.58 and sales will be limited to two cases per membership.
It is unknown if this price includes VAT, as normally the chain adds this at checkout. At £18.58, each bottle in a case would cost around £1.54, a reduction on the standard RRP of £1.99.
Gateshead Costco opens to trade and executive members at 10am and to individual members at 12 noon. It will close at 8.30pm.
KSI has shared his frustration over the sale of some Prime drinks after it emerged one store in Wakefield, Wakey Wines, is selling bottles for as much as £100 per bottle. In a video on TikTok he urged fans to stop paying such inflated prices.
Asda is still continuing to receive stock and it is expected that Aldi will announce a restock soon. At these stores, purchases are limited to one or two bottles per customer.
