Gatehouse Primary recently welcomed two special visitors.
The Right Reverend Kevin Pearson, the Bishop of Glasgow and Galloway Diocese came along with Reverend Stephen Hazlett, Rector of St Mary’s, Gatehouse of Fleet and Greyfriars, Kirkcudbright to meet pupils and staff.
Bishop Kevin shared with the primary five, six and seven pupils information about his current role within the Scottish Episcopal Church.
The pupils were able to ask him questions and found out about the symbolism of his clothes, hat and pastoral staff.
Bishop Kevin explained his beliefs and spoke about his service to God.
This links in with the work the classes are doing on Christianity and religious beliefs.
