Benik Afobe is a doubt for Millwall's return to Championship action against Sunderland next month. The Lions will head to Wearside for the arranged fixture December 3, after the original fixture was postponed following the death of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II.
The former Arsenal striker has not featured for the South London side since the 1-0 defeat to Huddersfield on October 29. However, Rowett is expecting to have Shaun Hutchinson and Ryan Leonard both back for the trip to the Stadium of Light.
“Everyone came through Preston absolutely fine,” Rowett told the South London Press last week.

“We expect Hutchy to be back available for selection for Sunderland. Lenny, of course, comes into contention as well because he has had a little bit of extra training.
“Benik, at the minute, looks a week or two behind that. There is no real issue there but we have got to take it steady with him. I think he had a little bit of damage to the knee. He’s had an injection and the specialist advised him to rest and strengthen. So we don’t want to rush that one.”
