Gary Neville believes Liverpool could still play a huge role in determining the Premier League winners ahead of their showdown with Arsenal.
The Gunners visit Anfield next Sunday looking to extend their gap at the top of the table. By the time the two sides kick off on Sunday (16:30pm), Manchester City will be hoping to have cut the deficit to five points with a win at Southampton.
Jurgen Klopp's side failed to overcome one of the title challengers on Saturday as Pep Guardiola got the better of his opposite number but the Citizens will be hoping that the Reds can return to form.

And the former Manchester United defender believes the title-race will be decided in L4 with a defeat for the Gunners handing the reigning champions the upper hand.
"I still think City are going to do it because I think that they'll have that little bit more experience," he told Sky Sports.
"Look, I think it's 50:50, it wasn't that I was certain six or eight weeks ago that City were going to win win the league, I absolutely thought by now Arsenal would have dropped lots of points and they wouldn't be where they are, but now I think it's 50:50.
"I think City might still do it. I'm not going to put everything on the Liverpool game, our manager used to say to us, 'You win at Anfield, you win the league'.
"If it was at this time of year quite often that proved to be the case. If Arsenal go to Anfield and win, I would definitely say it would be their title, because the confidence from that would be unbelievable.
"Anfield is a terror of a place to go, but if they lose at Anfield it then becomes a title race. I'm saying they're going to lose it just because they lose at Anfield, but if they win at Anfield I think they will win it."
Neville could be right ahead of the game next Sunday. And Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta thoughts suggest he will have to overcome an obstacle too.
The Spaniard has not been shy in discussing the role of the Anfield crowd in previous seasons. His antics on the touchline haven't helped either as he riled up Klopp and the Reds crowd in their previous meeting in L4 - which the hosts went on to win 4-0.
In preparation for a clash in November 2021, the north London players were forced to train with the iconic Liverpool anthem 'You'll Never Walk Alone' blasting from speakers on the side of the training field.
"One of my crazy ideas," said the Arsenal manager at the time. "Today, they are going to train with You’ll Never Walk Alone in the background.
"There is a word that we use in Spain for cycling. When a cyclist is going up [a hill] and looks amazing, and in one kilometre he goes ( Arteta signals going down a hill fast ) and looks like he’s going to get stuck.
"There’s a word [we use] it’s pájara. I had this once at Anfield. The game was going well and then suddenly all I could see was red shirts flying around. The game was passing all over me and I could not react.
"People will say ‘what is he doing’ and I think ‘I cannot do it - physically and emotionally, I cannot cope and everything goes too fast'.
"I only had this feeling in my career once and it was at Anfield."
