Gary Neville has offered words of advice for Liverpool star Darwin Nunez after the win over Tottenham Hotspur.
The Reds claimed a 2-1 victory at Spurs in the Premier League on Sunday afternoon. Mohamed Salah scored a first-half brace, with Harry Kane getting a goal back for the home side.
Salah’s double saw him take his goal tally for the season up to 14 in all competitions. He is also on a run of form of nine goals in his last eight outings.

But Nunez’s performance also impressed Neville, with the pundit labelling the Uruguayan as an “unpolished diamond” and sending some words of advice for the striker.
“The form of Salah, we saw his re-emergence of the player that he is, which is world class,” said the former Manchester United defender on the Sky Sports Gary Nevile podcast.
“He scored three against Rangers in the Champions League and then we saw him against Man City at the start of this run that he’s on with nine goals in eight matches. Up until that Rangers game he had been a bit of a difficult run for him.
“We expect him to be at this high level all of the time. But today (against Spurs), his touch, his awareness and his composure in the final third.
“Nunez does really well and he is the threat, but Salah is the class. Nunez can learn so much from Salah.
“He’s an unpolished diamond. He makes the runs, he’s a threat, he’s a nuisance, he challenges and he harasses.
“But sometimes, I used the word scruffy and you (Martin Tyler) used the words a ‘blunt instrument’, and it’s absolutely right.
“If I was Nunez I would just watch Salah constantly, in terms of what he does in the final third and in particular in the box.”
Neville was also full of praise for Andy Robertson’s performance against Tottenham. The Sky Sports pundit labelled the Scotland international as a “smart and world class” full-back.
“I thought straight away that Robertson’s seen the game,” said Neville. “You talk about players smelling the fixture, smelling the game, [thinking] ‘where is the game?’
“Sometimes I used to think the game is here today, and sometimes I used to think that I’m not winning this and I’m not even contributing to winning this game.”
Neville added: “But generally today Andy Robertson, credit to him. We always talk about Trent Alexander-Arnold with the attacking.
“But Robertson smelt where the game was from the first minute, and I thought, ‘he’s clever, Robertson’. He’s a smart full-back, not just a great full-back but a smart full-back
“He gets down that side and the first goal comes from it.”
