Gary Neville makes Jamie Carragher joke after Man City beat Liverpool FC to Premier League title

Gary Neville aimed a not-so-subtle dig at Jamie Carragher during Manchester City's dramatic 3-2 victory against Aston Villa.

Things looked to be going Liverpool and Carragher's way when Matty Cash and Philippe Coutinho gave Villa a 2-0 lead. However, Pep Guardiola's Blues were not to be denied.

Ilkay Gundogan gave City hope in the 76th minute before a fine strike by Rodri sent the Etihad Stadium into raptures. But the best was yet to come as Gundogan scored to complete the turnaround with just nine minutes of normal time remaining.

The goals were needed in the end to lift the title as Liverpool ended up 3-1 victors thanks to late goals from Mohamed Salah and Andrew Robertson. Despite his allegiances to Manchester United, Neville could not help but joke at Carragher's expense.

As Gundogan tapped home Kevin De Bruyne's cross to make the score 3-2 to City, Neville belted out on Sky Sports commentary: " Ilkay Gundogan, you little dancer." This was, of course, in reference to Carragher's moment of jubilation when Salah scored late on against Tottenham Hotspur back in 2019.

The former Liverpool defender screamed: "Mo Salah, you little dancer." At the time, Neville joked that Carragher came across as a 'local fan' on commentary that night.
