Gary Neville admitted there is nothing about the current Manchester United team that he likes during the club's 1-1 draw with Huddersfield on Sunday.
Scott McTominay gave United an early lead before Isaac Mbenza netted a second-half equaliser to score his first goal for the Terriers and ensure that Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side left the John Smith's Stadium with just a point.
Failure to win at the Premier League's bottom club officially ended the Red Devils' hopes of playing in next season's Champions League, with the sixth-placed club now four points behind the top four with only one Premier League game remaining.
Former United defender Neville has not held back his criticism of the club's performances this season.
He recently provided a scathing assessment of the current squad following April's 4-0 defeat at Everton and once again voiced his displeasure during their latest embarrassment.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer sends transfer warning to Man Utd flops after Huddersfield draw
After witnessing the Huddersfield equaliser, the Sky Sports pundit said: " Manchester United ’s defence were always going to help them [Huddersfield] with avoiding that [being the only side in top flight history to not get into double figures of home goals].
"They’ve [United] been better [in the second half] but they’ve set a pretty low bar.
"This is Huddersfield Town who have struggled all season. Watch this Huddersfield team, they haven’t got the quality but I like watching them a lot more than watching the ones in the red shirts to be honest with you.
"At least you can identify with them. Nothing about this United team I like at all. They’re just awful. They’re a despondent group of people. Luke Shaw doesn’t know whether to go with his left foot or his right foot [for the goal]."
"Solskjaer is smiling at them they’re that bad. Manchester United’s away support will never stop singing but this group of players have even drained the energy out of them."
Earlier in the game, the retired right-back drew comparisons between Solskjaer's current crop of players and the Tottenham squad Mauricio Pochettino inherited when he replaced Tim Sherwood in 2014.
Jamie Redknapp makes ominous prediction about Man Utd next season
"This is not a team," he said. "The more I watch this it’s not a team.
"Do you know what it reminds me of? It reminds me of the Tottenham team that Mauricio Pochettino picked up.
"When it had [Emmanuel] Adebayor, [Younes] Kaboul, [Vlad] Chiriches and [Etienne] Capoue in midfield.
"A group of players that looked like individuals, nothing there, no real spirit and he dismantled it piece by piece and Ole Gunnar Solskjaer needs to dismantle this piece by piece.
"It would be nice if the club got an experienced sporting director and recruit team to help him.
"The shambles this week and the recruitment of that that’s appeared in the press doesn’t appear to have helped."
