Gary Neville has explained why he predicted Manchester United to finish above Arsenal back in January.
The Gunners currently sit eight points clear at the top of the Premier League table, a total of 22 above Erik ten Hag's side who are now fourth. This is just 10 weeks after Neville backed United to come above Mikel Arteta and co after the Red Devils lost 3-2 at the Emirates Stadium thanks to a last-gasp Eddie Nketiah winner.
Speaking o the Gary Neville Podcast in January, Neville said: "No, [Arsenal] won’t win the league. Manchester City will win the league and I think Manchester United will finish second and I know that’ll annoy Arsenal fans."

Of course, Arsenal fans don't forget and one supporter Tweeted the former England international reminding him of his controversial prediction, to which Neville replied: "Relax it was 2.5 months ago. It’s a prediction.
"I thought you would blow up ! ( enough evidence of that in the last 15 years ). You haven’t so well done."
