Gary Neville would prefer Mauricio Pochettino over Erik ten Hag for the Manchester United job.
Ralf Rangnick's interim reign is now coming to an end and United are in the process of appointing a new manager. Mauricio Pochettino and Erik ten Hag, who are currently in work at Paris Saint-Germain and Ajax respectively, are two leading candidates.
The Manchester Evening News revealed United interviewed Ten Hag earlier this week, however, club sources have reiterated that they remain open-minded in the search for a new manager. Other candidates will be considered before any final decision is taken, and Pochettino, Luis Enrique, Julen Lopetegui and Thomas Tuchel are also on the club's shortlist of potential appointments.

It is understood that Pochettino and Ten Hag are the two leading candidates to succeed Rangnick this summer, though. The German is expected to move into a consultancy role at the end of the season.
Neville asked his Twitter followers on Wednesday which manager they would prefer between the pair and 80 per cent of United fans preferred Ten Hag over Pochettino — something which the United legend personally disagreed with.
"Personally I would go for Pochettino but Ten Hag is the massive favourite of United fans to take the club forward," Neville wrote. "That’s if it is a clear choice between the two."
