Gary Neville has labelled Manchester United "a joke" after their 1-0 defeat against Everton.
Anthony Gordon's deflected first-half effort was the difference for the Toffees as they took a huge step towards securing their Premier League status for another season. However, for the Reds, their hopes for qualifying for the Champions League were all but ended.
United had the better opportunities prior to the deadlock being broken as Marcus Rashford tested Jordan Pickford on a number of occasions. But, they were left frustrated by the hosts and saw their best second-half chance through Cristiano Ronaldo denied by the England no.1.

Neville took to Twitter to issue his verdict on the result, summing up the Reds display in three words before praising Everton and Frank Lampard. He said: "United a joke. Well done to Everton.
"Would have also been hard for Frank Lampard to hear Sean Dyche say what he said so well done to him. Some response."
United are now left in seventh as they slumped to yet another defeat. They missed the opportunity to move level on points with Tottenham and Arsenal to keep their Champions League hopes alive.
