Jamie Carragher and Gary Neville are both of the view that Brighton were massively let off the hook after Robert Sanchez avoided a rec card for a reckless foul on Luis Diaz.
Racing off his goal line, the Spanish shot-stopper caught the Colombian with a high boot at speed which left him on the ground in discomfort.
It seemed certain at this stage that Sanchez would be sent his marching orders by referee Mike Dean, though this did not happen despite a VAR check.

Stuart Attwell was the official in charge of VAR for this contest and decided against referring Dean to the pitchside monitor for a further assessment of the tackle.
The Liverpool bench were up in a flash after Diaz was brought down, adamant that a sending off would be on its way, and were shocked to discover no punishment would be forthcoming.
Also stunned by the outcome of this incident were Carragher and Neville, who took to Twitter to voice their confusion over the call.
Neville tweeted: "Got to be a red card!"
Ex-Reds defender Carragher added: "I’m convinced the red card wasn’t given because it was a goal. That header goes past the post & it’s a red card. It’s almost like, a goal is enough."
Klopp's side did get one decision go their way in the second half, however, as Brighton midfielder Yves Bissouma was penalised for blocking a Naby Keita shot with his hand.
Mohamed Salah stepped up to take the resulting penalty for the Reds and scored his 20th league goal of the campaign in the process.
