Gary Neville and Jamie Carragher agree on Chelsea problem after 'disgraceful' Arsenal display

Former Premier League defender Gary Neville has labelled Chelsea's performance against Arsenal a 'disgrace' after they found themselves 3-0 down after 34 minutes against their London rivals.

Martin Odegaard's brace on 18 and 31 minutes was quickly followed by a scrappy goal from Gabriel Jesus. Frank Lampard's men were second best throughout the opening 45 minutes, registering only two shots and looking out of ideas when defending.

The defeat will be their sixth consecutive loss, stretching their winless run to nine games. Lampard's return to west London has only gone from bad to worse, and if the scoreline does not change he would have lost his opening six games.

After falling 3-0 down, Neville took to Twitter to slam the Chelsea players. He wrote: "Chelsea are a disgrace out there." He later added: "I actually fancied Chelsea pre-match with Chelsea having had a difficult couple of weeks!

"But they've played Arsenal back into confidence. Shambles!"

Neville's colleague, Jamie Carragher, also didn't hold back on his criticism of Chelsea. Following Jesus' goal, Carragher laid blame on the running of the club. "Absolutely superb from Arsenal and absolutely shocking from Chelsea," he said.

"This club is an absolute mess right at this moment. And, this could get an awful lot worse for Frank Lampard and his staff, and Chelsea supporters.

"It’s embarrassing from Chelsea. It’s like five-a-side football. There’s three of them on the six-yard box all sat on their backsides now, as that ball goes in, and that shot, three of them on their backsides in the box, probably sums Chelsea’s season up."
