Gary Lucy has confirmed that he and former Love Island star Laura Anderson are no longer together after she announced she’s expecting their first child on Wednesday.
The actor, 41, best known for his roles in Footballers Wives and Hollyoaks, heavily featured in the baby reveal Anderson shared on her Instagram.
Although excited about the impending arrival, Lucy confirmed that he and Anderson have broken up but said the pair are dedicated to co-parenting their child.
He told The Sun: “I love Laura but we are no longer together.
“My main drive as always is to work together to co-parent our child. I look forward to the arrival of the new baby.”
The outlet previously reported on their split last month and claimed at the time that Lucy was “heartbroken” and “tried to win her back” following their whirlwind romance.
On Wednesday, Anderson announced her pregnancy via Instagram with a sweet video montage that showcased her pregnancy thus far, including hospital visits and scans.
At one point in the reel, Lucy posed with Anderson and her baby bump at Christmas, before he held up a babygrow with the words, “The one where we become parents. Baby Lucy due August 2023”, across it.
The TV personalities first met while filming E4 show Celebs Go Dating last year.
Anderson was by the actor’s side after he crashed his car in a terrifying Boxing Day accident, which saw him narrowly miss serious injury.
Despite professing their love for one another over Christmas on social media, the couple split and removed any trace of their relationship from Instagram.
Lucy has four children with ex-wife Natasha Gray, who he divorced in 2018, while former air stewardess Anderson was previously in a relationship with singer Dane Bowers but they split for good in August 2022.
They first struck up a relationship in 2017 before parting ways when he cheated on her, before rekindling their romance four years later in 2021.
Notably she shared with her followers last May that she and Bowers were undergoing IVF treatment after struggling to fall pregnant.
But it wasn’t meant to be as the Scottish star announced their split in August and moved out of the Dubai home they shared just days later.
