Gary Lineker has called on Wesley Fofana to stay at Leicester City for another season despite the defender wanting to move to Chelsea this summer. The 21-year-old has already agreed personal terms with the Blues, but the two clubs are yet to reach an agreement on what could eventually be a world-record fee.
Leicester want a world-record fee for Fofana – which would be in excess of the £80million they received from Manchester United for Harry Maguire more than three years ago. So far, Chelsea have seen two offers, with the latest around £70m, turned down by the Foxes.
football.london understands Fofana is pushing internally for a move away from the King Power Stadium and is now becoming frustrated with the club's stubborn stance over his future. He fears Leicester could price him out of a move.

Chelsea's pursuit is ongoing, though, and they are determined to sign the French defender before the summer transfer window closes on September 1. One of Fofana's main ambitions right now is to land a space in the France squad for this year's FIFA World Cup in Qatar. He's never been capped by the senior side before and a move to a Champions League team could help with that goal.
Leicester supporters are desperate to keep hold of the talented centre-back, especially with so little of the transfer window remaining to find an adequate replacement. One man who is desperate to see Fofana stay is Lineker, a lifelong Foxes fan, who has urged the defender to stay for another season at the King Power Stadium.
Lineker tweeted: "Fear the worst but hope he finds it within himself to give @LCFC one more season. Signed a new long-term contract when badly injured. Another year and all the monster clubs will want you @Wesley_Fofanaa."
Leicester manager Brendan Rodgers recently reiterated Fofana is not for sale, but also conceded that the interest from Chelsea is something that has to be "looked at". He said: "Naturally, if there is an interest from other clubs, then that is looked at by the club.
"But he is a top, top young defender. There's not too many about at his age. He's someone we'd love to keep here, but we'll have to wait and see what develops."
Fofana has asked to leave Leicester, with his desire to join Chelsea stronger than ever. It's now a waiting game to see if Chelsea and Leicester can finally agree terms over a saga that might not go away until the end of the summer transfer window.
