Gary Lineker has praised the unrelenting support from Newcastle United, and reassured fans that the club's 'time will come'.
Newcastle lost 2-0 against Manchester United in their first cup final in 24 years at Wembley Stadium. Casemiro opened the scoring for the Red Devils just after the half-hour mark, before Marcus Rashford's strike was diverted into his own net by Sven Botman in the 39th minute.
The Magpies delivered a spirited response in the second half - dominating large periods in their quest to find an equaliser. Alas, Eddie Howe's men were unable to find a route back into the game, but BBC Match of the Day presenter and former England striker Lineker believes the club are destined for a successful future.

Lineker tweeted to his 8.6 million followers: "Proper support despite the disappointment from NUFC fans. Their time will come."
Newcastle battled to the end and the fans stayed until after the final whistle to give the players a standing ovation.
