Gary Lineker expressed his delight to "finally" see Jadon Sancho performing for Manchester United.
The former Borussia Dortmund attacker opened the scoring against Southampton as Ralf Rangnick's side caught them on the break before Marcus Rashford laid it on a plate for his England teammate.
It was his first Premier League goal at the Theatre of Dreams, just over a week since he broke his Old Trafford duck in the penalty shootout defeat to Middlesbrough in the FA Cup.
Lineker was pleased for the 21-year-old, tweeting: "Good to see @Sanchooo10 finally finding his feet that were so mesmerising at @BlackYellow"
It marks a positive step after a run of encouragement for the United attacker. In his recent outing against Burnley, he looked sharp and confident as he tormented the Clarets defenders.
After his slow start to life in the Premier League, there has been disappointment at the wait to see him get up to speed after he set the Bundesliga alight after scoring 50 goals, providing 64 assists in 137 appearances for Borussia Dortmund.

For Sancho, it was just his second goal for the Reds in the English top-flight and his first since the end of November.
He did manage to contribute in the 3-1 win over Sean Dyche's side at the end of 2021 but saw his effort given as an own goal following Ben Mee's deflection.
