Gary Lineker says that he was left 'scared' by the atmosphere during an Old Firm clash.
The pundit joked during discussions with Alan Shearer and Micah Richards on the BBC Match of The Day podcast.
The three ex-players detailed their experiences of attending a Rangers and Celtic clash, with the trio admitting they atmosphere was "on a different planet" to anything they have experienced elsewhere.
Pretty incredible comments from Lineker who has experienced a number of El Classicos as a Barcelona player in his time.
During talks, Micah Richards was asked about his trip to Glasgow.
He responded: “Once. Never again. Forget that.
“[I went to] Celtic.
"I’ve never heard a noise like it. It’s incredible.”
Lineker described his experience working on Old Firms back when BBC held the rights over Scottish football's top flight - and he noted the racket that echoed from the fans in the stands.
The ex-striker reckons the noise, as well as the hatred between the sides, was on "another level".
He said: “I’ve done a few. There was a period where we had the rights; we televised about three or four of them at both grounds.
“Cor blimey. When you talk about hatred, that is another level.
“I was a bit scared.
“The Rangers vs Celtic match is something else.”
Shearer added: “They are without a doubt, and I’ve been to a lot of these games, but that Glasgow Derby is something else.
“My god – it is ferocious at both grounds, Celtic and Rangers. It’s proper hatred. It’s something different up there.”
