Gary Lineker pokes fun at Tottenham Hotspur collapse at Newcastle United with 'half-time alarms'

Former England international Gary Lineker has poked fun at Tottenham Hotspur's calamitous defeat to Newcastle United. The Magpies scored five goals inside the opening 21 minutes to leave the visitors shell shocked.

A brace from Jacob Murphy and Alexander Isak, alongside a first-half strike from Joelinton gave Eddie Howe's side a remarkable 5-0 lead at the break. Lineker poked fun at his former club, stating alarms had gone off in the away dressing room at half-time.

The jibe was a nod to the nationwide test of the Government's emergency alert system, which went off at the break during Sunday's game. Lineker tweeted: "Alarms have gone off in the Spurs dressing room at half time."
