Gary Lineker has hit back at Liverpool fans who slated him for celebrating Lionel Messi 's incredible Champions League free-kick.
The Barcelona captain hit his 600th club goal in spectacular fashion as his side defeated the Reds 3-0 at the Nou Camp on Wednesday night.
Footage later emerged of Lineker, a former Barcelona and Everton striker, lapping up the strike with ex-Manchester United defender Rio Ferdinand in the BT Sport studio.
That drew anger from supporters, with some slamming Lineker for not supporting the English team in the semi-final first-leg showdown.
But Lineker has stood his ground and warned his critics not to expect an apology.

He wrote on Twitter: "Seem to have upset a few @LFC fans by celebrating greatness last night. Admittedly it was a bit cringe, but as a former player who loves @FCBarcelona I make no apologies for dancing to the diminutive Dios."
Despite coming under fire from the Kop faithful for his initial reaction, there were plenty agreeing with the Match of the Day host following his Tweet.
