Gary Lineker has described Trent Alexander-Arnold as a 'wonderfully gifted' player after he opened the scoring in the Community Shield.
Alexander-Arnold fired the Reds ahead when he finished a fine team move after just 21 minutes at the King Power. Mohamed Salah, Thiago Alcantara and Luis Diaz all combined for the goal.
And reacting to the goal on social media, Lineker was quick to praise the Liverpool defender. He wrote on Twitter: “The opening goal of the Community Shield goes to @LFC and the wonderfully gifted @TrentAA.”

During his commentary on BBC Radio 5 Live, former Premier League centre-back Matthew Upson claimed the England international also had 'extraordinary vision' and 'plays a pass almost blind'.
He said: “Alexander-Arnold has extraordinary vision. He plays a pass, almost blind.He sweeps it and instantly switches play with a ball that only he saw.”
Liverpool get their top-flight campaign under way at Fulham next Saturday before welcoming Crystal Palace to Anfield a week later.
