Gary Hamilton urges Glenavon to keep performance levels high

Gary Hamilton has warned his Glenavon side not to be taking Dungannon Swifts lightly when they travel to Stangmore Park this afternoon.

Dean Shiels' side went close to pulling off a shock result at league leaders Larne last week and Hamilton is wary of the threat they pose.

"I watched Dungannon against Larne and they were 1-0 up against the team who are top of the league," said the Lurgan Blues boss.

"As we all know there are no easy games in this league, you have to go into it with the right mentality as you do with every other game.

"If we can do that, keep playing the same way we have over the last six or seven weeks and hopefully convert our chances then we will give ourselves a real chance."

Elsewhere in the Danske Bank Premiership second-placed Cliftonville will be looking to keep the heat on at the top of the table as they entertain Newry City.

Glentoran will be hoping to end a run of four games without a win when they travel to basement boys Portadown.

Carrick Rangers will be hoping to take the bragging rights when they welcome East Antrim rivals Ballymena United to the Loughview Leisure Arena.
